And that’s how she was

Mira, so unlike her name she was. A graduate student from the one of the top university in Delhi. Mira was a sober young Kid, who was loved by everyone until she reached adulthood. Mira, a girl who was the highest scorer of her school, choose a subject that nobody thought of- Fashion designing.
Mira was taunted, made understood, and what not, that this kind of line wasn’t right for a middle class girl. Mira, being a headstrong girl that she was, didn’t listened to any of these comments.
After her interview and admission in a prestigious college of Delhi, in a course that she wanted. Everybody seemed to be happy with her and she was happy with the life that she’s going to lead ahead.
It was after the first year of her college life, she realized that this is not a Life that she has imagined for herself. She wanted something different and something more from her life. Mira decided that she wanted to drop our from her studies and take a break.
Everybody, again started talking about her. Her family and friends, were starting to oppose her decisions in life. Maybe, they really thought that she’s good for nothing. Her family was now started to think about her prospects in marriage.
All this time, there was something going on in her mind, that nobody noticed. They just thought about demoralizing her to the extent that she would break one day and accepts to see her prospects in marriage because they realized that this kind of rebel, can become a danger to the society, one day.
After all this time, Mira found the love of her life, while walking down the streets of the grand market place. Mira was so awed by his presence that it was impossible for her to stand upright. This was a painting that was being painted by an old man on the street.
Mira stood there and watched closely, the way that brush was dipped in the box of paint colours. How the paint brush slowly dive through the blank canvas. The paint spilled across the canvas to make a beautiful picture of life.
It was at that moment, Mira realized her life’s dream to become an artist and a painter. Being a painter, she could paint her life with any shade that she wanted to.
Mira was glad that she never listened to what the society wants and expects from her. Mira always listened to her heart.
*The End*
