Unn aati jaati lehero se,
Humne bhi kuch seekha tha,
Na thake chalte jaana,
Humne bhi yahi se seekha tha,

Ek hi taal se gaaate rehna,
Unn leheron ne ye sangeet seekhaya tha,
Ek umar bas chalte rehna,
Un leheron ne khoob hum jeewan ka mehtav samjhaya tha,

Unn hawaon me awaaz thi kaha,
Phir bhi saaz sunaya tha,
Unn leheron me rukjana kaha seekha tha,
Phir bhi chattano se ladke ussne apna sangeet sunaya tha...

The Long Walk

Pulling up myself up the floor, I was 14.. when I learned to walk, Walking without support was a family dream, That I didn't thought could ever come true, I sat there.. wondering how could people walk.. without falling back?, I sat here.. there.. Everywhere because I couldn't walk, I used to believe that walking was a gift .. that God forgot to shower on me, So.. I learned to compensate... Compensate the lack of walking, As walking was an unachievable goal, For someone with 60% disability, To the sense of listening and observing, When a kid first learn to walk.. My passion for dance!!!

Dance, is happiness for me.  when I dance it feels to me as if I am not challenged anymore. Everybody says dance is for a abled body but I have a fully abled mind. A mind that is creative, a mind that will find way out for its passion. I have tried many dance forms from Indian classical to western, but the form that suited me the best is - the contemporary style of dancing. It is a dance that has the power to bring happiness in my life. It was first at AADI, that I had the opportunity of showcasing my talent. I still remember the dance I did, on the song " Radha kaise na jale". I could hear the crowd cheering my name. This day came after a series of practice sessions that we had in the hall, I still remember going to the hall everyday and as the music would start, I would ready in my dancing pose.
